Diagnosis Procedure
- CHECK GROUND CONNECTION
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Check ground connection M95. Refer to Ground Inspection in
"CIRCUIT INSPECTION
".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 2.
NO: Repair or replace ground connection.
- CHECK SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUITS
Check harness for short to power and short to ground, between the following terminals.
ECM Sensor Connector Terminal Name Connector Terminal F101 43 Electric throttle control actuator (bank 2) F27 1 44 Electric throttle control actuator (bank 1) F67 1 F102 60 CMP sensor (PHASE) (bank 1) F5 1 EVT control position sensor (bank 1) F4 1 M107 111 Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor F50 1 EOP sensor F51 3 Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 3.
NO: Repair short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.
- CHECK COMPONENTS
Check the following.
- Camshaft position sensor (PHASE) (bank 1) (Refer to "COMPONENT INSPECTION ".)
- Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor (Refer to "COMPONENT FUNCTION CHECK ".)
- Exhaust valve timing control position sensor (Refer to "COMPONENT INSPECTION ".)
- Engine oil pressure sensor (Refer to
"COMPONENT INSPECTION (EOP SENSOR) ".)
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 4.
NO: Replace malfunctioning component.
- CHECK TP SENSOR
Refer to "COMPONENT INSPECTION ".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 6.
NO: GO TO 5.
- REPLACE ELECTRIC THROTTLE CONTROL ACTUATOR
- Replace electric throttle control actuator. Refer to "EXPLODED VIEW ".
- Go to
"SPECIAL REPAIR REQUIREMENT
".
: INSPECTION END
- CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to "INTERMITTENT INCIDENT ".
