Diagnostic Test
- PREPARATION BEFORE WORK SUPPORT
With CONSULT
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Turn the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position.
- Keep the vehicle at a standstill.
- Confirm the connection between EPS control unit and EPS torque sensor.
- Erase self-diagnostic result.
GO TO STEP 2 .
- PERFORM RE LEARNING
With CONSULT
- On the CONSULT screen, select "EPS/DAST 3">>"Work support">>"Re learning".
- Touch "Start".
What is current status?
Calibration OK
WORK END
Power supply torque sensor too low
GO TO STEP 3 .
Active malfunction exist
GO TO STEP 4 .
Vehicle speed is not 0 km/h
Keep the vehicle at a standstill and then re-perform the procedure. GO TO STEP 1 .
Thermistor temperature too high
Wait for several minutes until the internal temperature becomes low. GO TO STEP 1 .
Motor revolution speed too high
During calibration, never move the steering wheel. GO TO STEP 1 .
Sampled value out of range
Before calibration, turn the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position. GO TO STEP 1 .
Difference of min and max value out of range
During calibration, never move the steering wheel. GO TO STEP 1 .
- CHECK THE ELECTRICAL LINE FOR EPS TORQUE SENSOR
Check the electrical line between EPS control unit and EPS torque sensor. If necessary, repair.
GO TO STEP 1 .
- PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS
With CONSULT
Perform self-diagnosis for "EPS /DAST 3".
Is any DTC detected?
YES
Check the DTC. Refer to DTC INDEX . After repairing, GO TO STEP 1 .
NO
GO TO STEP 1 .
