Work Procedure

CHECK FRONT PASSENGER SEAT
Perform the following items.
- Remove any protective cover present on the front passenger seat.
- Check that there is nothing on or under the front passenger seat.
- Check that the seat belt buckle switch (passenger side) is unfasten.
- Move the front passenger seat as close to the center position as possible (in both the vertical and horizontal directions).
- Adjust the seat surface of the front passenger seat to the most horizontal position possible.
- Adjust the backrest of the front passenger seat to the most vertical position possible.
- If available, move seat cushion length adjustment to the rear most position.
GO TO 2.
CHECK DTC WITH AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT
With CONSULT
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Check that DTC is not detected with air bag diagnosis sensor unit.
GO TO 3.
PERFORM TEACH IN PROCESS
With CONSULT

Select "Occupant classification unit">>"Work support">>"Teach in process".

NOTE: SST: KV9950H0140 is required for performing "Teach in process".

Is "SUCCESS" displayed on CONSULT screen?

YES

END

NO
