Work Procedure: Description

VCR control module requires the learning of VCR base position.

This learning must be performed where the following operations are performed:

• Replacement of VCR control module
• Replacement of VCR actuator

1. PRECONDITIONING 

   Check that all of the following conditions are satisfied.

   • Engine oil temperature: 60 deg. C (140 deg. F) or more
   • Engine running: idle speed
   • Accelerator pedal: Full released

   YES

   GO TO 2.

2. PERFORM VCR BASE POSITION LEARNING 

   With CONSULT

   1. Select "VCR base position learning" in "WORK SUPPORT" mode of "ENGINE" using CONSULT.
   2. Touch "START".

   Is "CMPLT" displayed on CONSULT screen?

   YES

   GO TO 3.

   NO

   Check that DTC is not detected and restart the learning.

3. ERASE DTC 

   Without CONSULT

   1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
   2. Turn ignition switch ON.
   3. Erase DTC.
