Circuit Inspection
- Disconnect all three connectors from I-TEC system to the MCU before turning ignition switch on.
- When connecting test leads to I-TEC circuit harness, insert wire at back side of connector.
- Carefully note the terminal number to avoid a direct battery connection when the ignition is turned on.
- Disconnect wiring at MCU, sensor or output device when testing for shorts or continuity. If trouble can not be corrected by test procedures, clear memory. Reconnect all circuits, road test vehicle and recheck trouble code display. If trouble can not be found, test MCU by installing a known good MCU unit.
