Test 8 - Vehicle Speed Sensor (Code 63)
- Disconnect MCU control terminals at MCU. Connect ohmmeter between terminal 5 and ground. Disconnect speedometer cable from transmission and turn inner cable slowly. If vehicle speed sensor circuit is good, ohmmeter will show open and closed circuit alternately.
- If no signal pulses are found in step 1). Disconnect 10 pin connector from back of speedometer gauge. Locate Yellow wire at terminal number 4. Check circuit between terminal 5 and terminal 4 for shorts and grounds.
- If trouble cannot be located, replace speedometer assembly.
