Test 4 - Throttle Position Switch (Codes 21, 43 And 65)
- Disconnect MCU control terminals at MCU. Disconnect terminal at throttle position switch. Check circuits between MCU terminals 2 and 13 and throttle position switch for continuity and grounds. Repair any faulty wiring or terminal connectors.
- Check throttle position switch contacts at idle, cruise and full throttle positions. Test terminal I and terminal B for continuity at idle position. Test terminal F and terminal B for continuity at full throttle position. Check that no continuity is present between terminals I, F or B when throttle control is in any cruise position. If switch fails above tests, replace throttle position switch.
