Ecu Code 14 - Coolant Sensor Circuit
- Check CTS wiring and correct any problems. Clear trouble code. Start engine and run for 2 minutes. Access trouble codes. If code 14 is present, inspect wiring harness. Check that no continuity exists between ECU harness pin No. 33 (No. 36 on Pickup and Trooper II) and Black wire, and pin No. 33 (No. 36 on Pickup and Trooper II) and ground. See Fig 1 . If continuity exists, replace or repair harness. Clear trouble code.
- Start engine and run for 2 minutes. Access trouble codes. If code 14 exists, remove connector at CTS and check for proper resistance. See COOLANT SENSOR RESISTANCE table.
- If resistance values are not correct, replace CTS. If resistance values are correct, replace ECU. Clear codes and run engine for 2 minutes. Access codes to ensure code 14 is not present.
