Ecu Code 41 - Crank Angle Sensor Circuit
- Disconnect harness at ECU and at CAS. Check that continuity exists between ECU harness connector pin No. 32 (No. 34 on Pickup and Trooper II) and White wire, pin No. 31 (No. 35 on Pickup and Trooper II) and Green wire, and Black wire and ground. There should be no voltage at these terminals. Check voltage in Red wire (Green/Black on Pickup, Red/White on Trooper II) to ground. Voltage should be 10-14 volts. Repair or replace harness as required.
- Disconnect dropping register. Check voltage at CAS connector. Voltage should be 1-3 volts between White wire (Black/White wire on Pickup) and ground, and 2-3 volts between Green wire (Gray wire on Pickup) and ground. If voltage is incorrect, replace CAS. If voltage is correct, replace ECU. Clear code. Start engine and access trouble codes to ensure fault is corrected.
