Fuel System Pressure Release: Impulse

  1. Loosen fuel tank filler cap to relieve tank pressure. Remove fuel pump relay from underhood relay center.
  2. Start engine and allow it to run until it stalls. Crank engine for additional 30 seconds. Remove ignition key.
  3. Slowly loosen fuel outlet fitting at fuel filter located at driver's side frame rail. Use shop towel to absorb fuel escaping as fuel pressure is relieved. When fuel stops leaking, tighten line.
