Disabling Sir System
Before any repairs are performed, disconnect and shield negative battery cable. Remove 2 SIR fuses (No. C-22 and C-23) from bottom of fuse block behind left kick panel. See Fig 1 . Disconnect Orange 3-wire connector, near base of steering column. Wait at least 10 minutes after disconnecting fuses before proceeding with repairs.
