(1) Fluid requires replacement only under severe operation. Severe operation is driving on rough dusty roads or repeated short trips.

3.2L Hydraulic lash adjusters are used. No adjustment is required
BELT ADJUSTMENT (DEFLECTION METHOD) (1)

Application (2) Belt Deflection
A/C Belt .315" (8 mm)
Alternator & Power Steering Belt N/A
(1) Some models are checked by belt deflection; other models are checked using belt tension gauge.
(2) Deflection is checked with 22 lbs. (10 kg) pressure applied midway on longest belt run.
BELT ADJUSTMENT (TENSION METHOD) (1)

Application (2) Belt Tension
A/C Belt 100-120 lbs. (45-64 kg)
Alternator & Fan Belt 100-120 lbs. (45-54 kg)
P/S Belt 70-110 lbs. (32-50 kg)
(1) Some models are checked by belt deflection; other models are checked using belt tension gauge.
(2) Belt tension checked with belt tension gauge.
