(1) Measure resistance between White wire and White/Red wire terminals.
MAP SENSOR VOLTAGE

Throttle Position (1) Volts
Closed 1-1.5
Wide Open 4.0-4.5
(1) Measure voltage at Gray wire and Gray/Red wire terminals with ignition on.

(2) Voltage should increase smoothly from closed to wide open throttle.

(1) Measure continuity at back of speedometer. See appropriate article; For Trooper DOHC models, see: WIRING DIAGRAMS - DOHC , For Trooper SOHC models, see: WIRING DIAGRAMS - SOHC
(2) Turn speedometer cable to cycle reed switch on and off.

(2) With ignition on, turn speedometer cable to cycle reed switch on and off.
