Starter Switch Signal
NOTE:
This signal informs the PCM when the engine is being cranked.
- Place transaxle in Park or Neutral. On manual transaxle vehicles, depress clutch. Measure voltage between PCM connector terminals A9 and C6. See Figure . If battery voltage exists, starter switch signal is okay.
- If battery voltage does not exist, inspect STARTER SIGNAL fuse located in underdash fuse/relay box. If fuse is okay, repair open in wire between STARTER SIGNAL fuse and PCM connector terminal C6. See Figure . If fuse is not okay, repair short in wire between PCM connector terminal C6 and STARTER SIGNAL fuse or between PCM connector terminal C6 and PGM-FI main relay.
