Manual Bleeding

  1. Clean master cylinder cap and surrounding area, then remove cap. Fill master cylinder. Start engine and allow it to idle.
  2. Install clear bleed hose onto first bleed screw to be serviced. See BRAKE BLEEDING SEQUENCE . Place other end of bleed hose in container partially filled with brake fluid. Pump brake pedal 3 times and hold depressed. Open bleed screw until brake fluid flows through hose.
    CAUTION: DO NOT release brake pedal until bleed screw has been tightened.
  3. Close bleed screw, and release pedal slowly. Repeat procedure until flow of brake fluid is clear and no air bubbles are detected. Repeat procedure for each wheel. Install ABS main fuse when finished.
NOTE: Check fluid level in master cylinder frequently during bleeding sequence.
