- 1-3 - Indicates Manufacturer, Make & Type of Vehicle.
- 4-6 - Indicates Line, Body and Engine Type.
- 7 - Indicates Body and Transmission Type.
- 8 - Indicates Vehicle Series Type (LX or EX).
- 9 - Indicates Check Digit.
- 10 - Indicates Model Year.
- 11 - Indicates Factory Code.
- 12-17 - Indicates Serial Number.
