Ignition Control Module: Notes

NOTE: If MIL comes on, check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See TESTS W/CODES - INTRODUCTION article. Before preforming IGNITION CONTROL MODULE INPUT TEST, ensure ignition, fuel and emissions systems are operating properly. Ignition Control Module (ICM) is located in distributor housing. See Figure-Figure .

NOTE: Manufacturer does not provide tests for the ICM, they provide a series of input test to ensure the rest of the system is working properly before replacing components. If all tests check okay, the ICM should be replaced.
