(1) DTC retrieved from MIL (engine controls) or A/T position "D4" indicator (A/T controls) flashes when SCS service connector is connected. MIL and "D4" indicator may flash simultaneously. Diagnose MIL DTCs before "D4" DTCs.

(4) The A/T position "D4" indicator DTC 37 is caused by a SEAF or SEFA signal circuit failure between TCM and PCM or a faulty PCM. DTC 37 cannot be displayed by A/T position "D4" indicator because of open SEAF or SEFA signal circuit.
