Circuit Description

Throttle Position (TP) sensor measures amount of throttle plate opening. PCM uses TP sensor information for fuel delivery calculations. TP sensor reading during Wide Open Throttle (WOT) is about 4.75 volts and 0.25 volts at closed throttle.

Conditions required to set DTC are:

• Ignition switch in ON position.
• TP sensor signal voltage is less than 0.235 volt for a period of .78 seconds over a 1.5 second period.
