Injector Balance Test

Injector balance test is used to ensure that appropriate electric signals are being sent to fuel injectors.

1. Connect TECH 2 or equivalent scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located at lower left side of instrument panel, behind a small cover. Start engine, and go to next step.
2. on scan tool, select F3: MISCELLANEOUS TESTS. From application menu, select F7: INJECTOR BALANCE TEST, and go to next step.
3. Follow scan tool directions to perform injector balance test.
4. If injectors tests as specified, testing is complete. If injectors fail test, test fuel injectors. See FUEL SYSTEM in SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING article.
