Conditions For Setting The DTC

Following conditions must be met for DTC diagnostic test to run:

• No TP sensor, MAF sensor, ECT sensor, or fuel system DTCs are present.
• Engine speed is steady, changing less than 100 RPM.
• Engine speed is between 1000 and 4000 RPM.
• Throttle position is steady, throttle angle changes less than 3 percent.
• EGR flow rate is steady, changing less than 4 percent.
• No change in A/C clutch or Power Steering Pressure (PSP) switch status.
• Engine coolant temperature is greater than 14°F (-10°C).
• MAP value is steady, changing less than 5 kPa.
• The MAP value must vary for a total of 12.5 seconds over a 25 second period of time that the samples were monitored.
