Instruments Test

Instruments test checks instruments for proper operation.

1. Connect TECH 2 or equivalent scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located at lower left side of instrument panel, behind a small cover. Turn ignition on, and go to next step.
2. On scan tool select F3: MISCELLANEOUS TESTS. From application menu select F4: INSTRUMENTS, and go to next step.
3. Follow scan tool directions to test individual gauges.
4. If all gauges test as specified, testing is complete. If any gauge fails test, test area of fuel system that failed test. For aid in diagnosing gauges, see WIRING DIAGRAMS , or appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
