Conditions For Setting DTC
- DTCs related to Throttle Position (TP) sensor, Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) or Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor are not present.
- Engine speed is between 600 and 6250 RPM.
- System voltage is between 11 and 16 volts.
- ECT sensor indicates an engine temperature 20-230°F (-7 to 110°C).
- Throttle angle is less than 2 percent when vehicle speed is above 4 MPH (6 km/h).
- The misfire ratio when catalyst damage is detected or deceleration mode is more than 1.5 for 5 test failures within 200 test samples.
- Fuel level is above 14.5 percent of tank capacity.
- EGR Flow diagnostic is not in progress.
- Fuel cutoff is not active.
- An automatic transmission is not shifting.
- Throttle position is steady increasing less than 2.3 percent or decrease less than 0.4 percent per 31 milliseconds.
- A/C clutch has not engaged.
- Deceleration fuel cutoff is not active.
- Cylinder identification is complete.
- Engine load and engine speed is in a detectable region and is at or above the zero torque line.
