Relays Test

Relays test is used to test operation of Fuel Pump (F/P) and A/C clutch relays:

1. Connect TECH 2 or equivalent scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition on, then go to next step.
2. On scan tool select F3: MISCELLANEOUS TESTS. From application menu select F1: RELAYS, then go to next step.
3. Follow scan tool directions to test F/P and A/C clutch relays.
4. If relays test as specified, testing is complete. If F/P relay fails test, test FP relay. See FUEL SYSTEM in SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING article. If A/C clutch relay fails test, test relay. See appropriate article in AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING.
