Main Solenoid Valve

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Using DVOM, measure resistance between terminals No. 11 and 18 of ABS ECU connector. If resistance is 2-5 ohms, main valve is okay. If resistance is not 2-5 ohms, disconnect main valve connector.
  2. Measure resistance between main valve terminals. If resistance is not 2-5 ohms, replace main valve. If resistance is 2-5 ohms, check for continuity in Brown/Gray wire between terminal No. 18 of ABS ECU connector and main valve connector. If continuity does not exist, repair open Brown/Gray wire.
  3. If continuity exists, check for continuity in Black wire between main valve and valve block. If continuity does not exist, repair open Black wire. If continuity exists, check for continuity in Black wire between valve block and ground. If continuity does not exist, repair open Black wire.
