Drive Belt Adjustment (6.0L)

DRIVE BELT ADJUSTMENT (6.0L)

Application (1) Tension: Lbs. (Kg)
A/C & PS Belt
New (2) 178 (81)
Used 61-142 (28-64)
Alternator Belt
New 174 (79)
Used 52-90 (24-41)
Air Pump & Water Pump
New 146 (66)
Used 72-90 (33-41)
(1) Tension In Lbs. (Kg) Using Belt Tension Gauge, with pressure applied midway on belt run.
(2) Adjust belt to new belt specification. Rotate engine minimum of 3 revolutions, and reset to new belt specification again.
