Teaves Mk. IV Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) consists of:
- Wheel Speed Sensor. A toothed wheel is mounted at each wheel hub. Mounted on each spindle (front) or hub carrier (rear) is an inductive wheel speed sensor.
- Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module (CM) on non-Traction Control equipped vehicles, Anti-lock Brake System/Traction Control (ABS/TC) Control Module (CM) on Traction Control equipped vehicles. Using input from sensors, control module actuates Brake Control Modulator to vary brake fluid pressure to each wheel (4 channel or Traction Control equipped) or each front wheel and both rear wheels (3 channel or Non-Traction Control equipped) preventing wheel lock-up.
- Brake Control Modulator. BCM consists of valve block, solenoids, electric pump, accumulators and damping chambers.
