Testing Procedure

  1. Ensure battery and charging system are operating properly. Record DTCs and freeze-frame data. See RETRIEVING CODES .
  2. Disconnect negative battery cable. Perform diagnosis and repair for existing DTCs. See DIAGNOSTIC TESTS .
  3. Perform appropriate drive cycle to confirm repair. See PERFORMING DRIVE CYCLE . Recheck for DTCs.
