KICKDOWN Switch
- Connect scan tool to vehicle. Navigate through CURRENT POWERTRAIN DATA to PID 120F (pedal demand).
- Push the accelerator pedal until light contact is made with the kickdown switch ensuring that contact with the switch does not result in switch movement.
- If PID value indicated on the scan tool is 3.66-3.76 volts (2F9 + or - A hex), no further action is required. If the value indicated is not 3.66-3.76 volts (2F9 + or - A hex), go to next step.
- Pull the carpet from around the kickdown switch and disconnect the kickdown switch harness connector to avoid twisting the harness as the switch is rotated. See Fig 1
.
- Adjust the switch to attain the proper scan tool reading. Reconnect the kickdown switch harness connector and verify the setting.
