Traction Control (TC)
Traction control has the same capabilities as ASC with the added ability to apply brakes to the spinning wheel. This action enhances ASC operation by improving acceleration on surfaces with uneven adhesion (one wheel on ice, the other on pavement). If wheel spin occurs, brake pressure is applied to the spinning wheel. The brake control modulator controls brake fluid by closing the cut-off solenoid valve and operating the hydraulic pump. Brake fluid is drawn from the reservoir through the non-actuated brake master cylinder to brake caliper. An Amber warning light will flash on instrument panel to notify driver of a spinning wheel.
