In Vehicle Temperature Sensor - Removal and Installation: Notes

All vehicles. 

  1. Reposition the steering column to its maximum rearward position.
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery, Mounting and Cables .

Left-hand drive vehicles. 

  1. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Steering Column .

All vehicles.

    CAUTION: Make sure damage does not occur to the instrument panel finish panel.
  1. Remove the instrument panel finish panel.

  2. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel.
    1. Remove the retaining screws.
    2. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel.

  4. Remove the steering column finish panel retaining screws.

  5. Remove the steering column finish panel.
    1. Remove the steering column finish panel retaining screws.
    2. Remove the steering column finish panel.

  6. Detach the steering column lower shroud.

  7. Remove the lower steering column lower shroud.

  8. Disconnect the in-vehicle temperature sensor electrical connector.

  9. Disconnect the in-vehicle temperature sensor hose.

  10. Remove the in-vehicle temperature sensor.
