Adaptive Speed Control Module (G2218616): Installation

CAUTION:
- Make sure that soft fabric gloves are used during installation. Failure to follow this instruction may cause optical defects of the module.
- Take extra care not to apply high forces during the electrical connector installation. Failure to follow this instruction may cause damage in the ASCM.
- Install the ASCM.
- Install and tighten the 4 screws.
- Connect the electrical connector.
With assistance, install the front bumper.

NOTE:
- This step is only required if the component was removed for access.
- Choose a road with stationary objects on the roadside.
- Following vehicles too closely will obscure the stationary targets from the radar, a gap of 2 seconds is recommended.
1. Connect the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment.
  General Equipment : Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment
2. Select 'Cruise Control Module (CCM) - Service Alignment Mode' from the diagnostic menu.
3. Make sure that all steps from the on-screen instructions are followed.
NOTE:
- This step is only required if a new component is installed.

1. Connect the JLR approved diagnostic equipment.
  General Equipment : Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment
2. Select 'Cruise Control Module (CCM) - Replace ECU' from the diagnostic menu.
3. Make sure that all steps from the on-screen instructions are followed.
