Adaptive Speed Control Module (G2218616): Removal
CAUTION:
- If accidentally dropped or knocked install a new Adaptive Speed Control Module (ASCM).
- The ASCM must be handled carefully as damage may cause water ingress into the module.
- The ASCM is equipped with a pressure equalization membrane located under the type label. Damages can affect the water tightness of the module.
- The usage of aggressive cleaning agents is prohibited. Use glass cleaner and soft cloth to clean surfaces.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Make sure that there is no modification on the ASCM before it is installation to the vehicle.
- The ASCM assembly must not be disassembled or pre-adjusted before installation.
- The ignition must be switched off.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- With assistance, remove the front bumper.
Refer to: FRONT BUMPER .
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the 4 screws.
- Remove the ASCM.
