Ignition Coil Resistance Check

Primary Resistance

With ignition off, remove ignition coil connector from terminals. Adjust ohmmeter to low scale and attach leads to positive and negative terminals. Ohmmeter reading should be 1.13-1.23 ohms at 75°F (24°C). With coil temperature at 200°F (93°C), a 1.5 ohm reading is acceptable.
