Fuel Supply System
Diesel fuel is drawn through a water separator from fuel tank by an engine mounted mechanical fuel pump. This pump is driven by an eccentric cam mounted on crankshaft and puts out about 3 psi (.21 kg/cm2 ) to injection pump. A small screen type filter is located in fuel tank at pick-up. After leaving filter, diesel fuel enters pump through center inlet fitting. A fuel return line is provided to return excess fuel to tank.
