Turbo Boost Cut-Out Switch
- Disconnect hose from test point "A". See Fig 1. Connect a pressure gauge to hose. Start and run engine at 3000 RPM. Record pressure reading. Disconnect gauge and reconnect hose.NOTE: If no pressure is indicated, check turbocharger operation, and for a pinched hose between manifold and turbo boost cut-out switch.
- Disconnect hose from test point "B". See Fig 1. Connect a pressure gauge to hose. Start and run engine at 3000 RPM. Record pressure reading. Pressure reading should be equal to reading at test point "A" in step 1.
- If pressure is okay, turbo boost cut-out switch is operating correctly. If pressure is not okay, and engine coolant temperature is below 239°F (115°C), replace cut-out switch. Disconnect gauge and reconnect hose.
