Removal & Installation: Stator: Removal

  1. Remove distributor from engine block. Remove distributor rotor. Position distributor in a soft jawed bench vise and remove gear from shaft using a small pin punch and hammer to drive out roll pin.
  2. Remove distributor shaft from distributor housing. Remove stator retaining screw and mark location of stator position for assembly reference. Remove stator harness by pushing grommet through housing. Remove stator assembly.
