Resistance Test

  1. Disconnect wire harness connector from CTS. Test resistance of sensor with DVOM. Resistance should be less than 1000 ohms with engine warm. Replace sensor if not within range of resistance specified in chart. See TEMPERATURE-TO-RESISTANCE VALUES  table.
  2. Test resistance of wire harness between ECU harness connector terminal No. 15 and sensor connector terminal, and terminal No. 32 to sensor connector terminal. See Figure and Figure . Repair wire harness if open circuit is indicated.
