Primary Winding Resistance Test
- Remove the connectors from the positive and negative terminals of ignition coil. Set ohmmeter to low scale and zero pointer.
- Connect ohmmeter to coil negative and positive terminals. Resistance should be 1.13-1.23 ohms at 75°F (24°C). If coil temperature is above 200°F (93°C), 1.5 ohms is acceptable.
