Fuel Pump Pressure Test (5.9L)
- Disconnect fuel inlet fitting at carburetor. Connect pressure gauge between filter and carburetor.
- Operate engine at idle speed. Note pressure reading on gauge. See FUEL PUMP PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS table. If pump pressure is not within specification, replace pump. If pump pressure is within specification, perform capacity test. See CAPACITY (VOLUME) TEST (6 .0L).
