Test B: One Window Operates
- Remove door panel of inoperative window, probe harness side of unplugged motor connector.
- Measure voltage at motor connector terminal "A", while holding switch in the DOWN position. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open between motor and master switch. If additional switch is in circuit (not driver's side motor), perform appropriate switch test. See DRIVERS DOOR POWER WINDOW SWITCH (4-DOOR) or DRIVERS DOOR POWER WINDOW SWITCH (2-DOOR) under COMPONENT TESTS.
- Measure resistance at power window motor connector terminal "B", holding switch in the DOWN position. Resistance should read zero ohms.
- If resistance does not read as zero, repair open back between power window motor and master switch. If additional switch is in circuit (not driver's side motor), perform appropriate switch test.
- If both tests are OK, replace regulator assembly. See DRIVERS DOOR POWER WINDOW SWITCH (4-DOOR) or DRIVERS DOOR POWER WINDOW SWITCH (2-DOOR) under COMPONENT TESTS.
CAUTION:
Maintain DOWN position while meter lead is attached.
