Removal & Installation

  1. Remove distributor cap, rotor, and distributor. Remove pulse ring mounting screws and remove pulse ring. Using pin punch and hammer, remove distributor gear roll pin.
  2. Using a rubber mallet, tap distributor shaft out until distributor gear and shim are removed. Slide shaft out of distributor housing. Remove sync (synchronization) signal generator stator mounting screws and positioning arm.
  3. Slide wiring harness grommet out of distributor housing. Remove synch signal generator. To install, reverse removal procedure.
