Test 8B - Short To Battery On Bus

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see BODY CONTROL SYSTEM CONNECTORS under DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. For wiring diagrams, see appropriate chassis wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS Section.

Ensure all doors, trunk and hood are closed. Put DRB-II in ohmmeter mode. Probe terminal No. 5 (Black/Orange wire) of compass/mini-trip module connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace compass/mini-trip module. Perform VERIFICATION TEST. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black/Orange wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST.
