Capacity (Volume) Test

Relieve fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE under FUEL PRESSURE  . Disconnect fuel supply line from fuel rail. Connect 3/8" Fuel Line Pressure Test Adapter (6631) to fuel supply line. Insert other end of test adapter into a graduated container suitable for gasoline. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Using scan tool, activate fuel pump. Volume of fuel should be one pint (.47L) in 30 seconds. If fuel volume is not as specified, check for a plugged fuel filter, kinked fuel line or fuel pump tank module.
