Test 106A - Body Control Module No Response

CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  in this article. For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  section at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-1B  after each repair.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Blue connector. BCM is located behind left side knee panel. Check connector condition, and clean or repair connector as necessary. If connector is okay, go to next step.
  2. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of Violet/Brown wire between BCM Blue connector terminal No. 7 and Data Link Connector (DLC) terminal No. 6. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Violet/Brown wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  3. Check resistance of White/Black wire between BCM Blue connector terminal No. 20 and DLC connector terminal No. 4. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open White/Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  4. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of BCM Blue connector terminal No. 19 (Blue/Light Green wire). If resistance is more than 15 ohms, repair open Blue/Light Green wire. If resistance is less than 15 ohms, go to next step.
  5. Turn ignition on, engine off. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on BCM Blue connector terminal No. 6 (Dark Blue/White wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to TEST 106B . If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  6. Check voltage on BCM Blue connector terminal No. 8 (Pink wire). If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace BCM. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step.
  7. Remove and inspect fuse IOD fuse from Power Distribution Center (PDC). If fuse is open, go to TEST 106C . If fuse is okay, reinstall fuse and go to next step.
  8. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on IOD fuse connector (Pink wire). If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair open Pink wire between PDC and BCM. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Black/Yellow wire between PDC and ignition switch.
