Test 22C - Courtesy Lamp Inputs

CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  in this article. For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  section at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-1B  after each repair.
  1. Using scan tool, stop courtesy lamp actuation. Open left front door. Using scan tool, read left front door ajar switch status. If scan tool does not display LFDOOR AJAR CLOSED, go to TEST 26A . If scan tool displays LFDOOR AJAR CLOSED, go to next step.
  2. Open right front door. Using scan tool, read right front door ajar switch status. If scan tool does not display RFDOOR AJAR CLOSED, go to TEST 27A . If scan tool displays RFDOOR AJAR CLOSED, go to next step.
  3. Open side door. Using scan tool, read side door ajar switch status. If scan tool does not display SIDE DR AJAR CLOSED, go to TEST 28A . If scan tool displays SIDE DR AJAR CLOSED, go to next step.
  4. Open liftgate. Using scan tool, read gate ajar switch status. If scan tool does not display GATE AJAR CLOSED, go to TEST 29A . If scan tool displays GATE AJAR CLOSED, go to next step.
  5. Turn ignition off. Gain access to Body Control Module (BCM), located behind left side knee panel. Disconnect BCM Blue connector. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on BCM Blue connector terminal No. 8 (Pink wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Pink wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace BCM.
