Compass/Mini-Trip Computer Switch Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition off. Using scan tool, select COMPASS/MINI-TRIP, then INPUT/OUTPUT DISPLAY. If scan tool does not display either button PRESSED, go to next step. If scan tool displays either button PRESSED, replace button assembly. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  2. Monitor scan tool display. Press STEP button. If scan tool displays button PRESSED, go to next step. If scan tool does not display button PRESSED, replace button assembly. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  3. Monitor scan tool display. Press US/M button. If scan tool displays button PRESSED, test is complete. If scan tool does not display button PRESSED, replace button assembly. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
