Powertrain Verification Test
NOTE:
If Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has been replaced and correct Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and mileage have not be entered into new PCM, Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) will set in Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), air bag and Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM). Secret key data must be updated prior to starting vehicle. See PROGRAMMING
.
- Ensure all disconnected components are reconnected. Check engine oil for fuel contamination. Change oil and filter if necessary.
- Start engine and allow to run until operating temperature is reached. Using scan tool, ensure no DTCs have reset. If any DTCs reset, check for Technical Service Bulletins. If different DTCs set, go to appropriate diagnostic procedure under SYSTEM TESTS . If no DTCs are set, repair is complete.
