CHECKSUM Failure

When Monitored: With the ignition on.

Set Condition: The Instrument Cluster detects EEPROM failure during the internal self check.

Possible Causes are:

• INSTRUMENT CLUSTER

Using the DRBIII(R), erase DTCs. Cycle the ignition and wait approximately 1 minute. Using the DRBIII(R), read DTCs. Did this DTC reset? If yes, replace the Instrument Cluster. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If no, test is complete.
