O/D Off Indicator Inoperative
Possible Causes are:
- MIC SELF TEST
- INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
Perform the Instrument Cluster Self Test. The self test can be performed with the DRBIII(R) or manually using the following procedure: Turn ignition off. Press and hold the Trip Reset button. Turn ignition on. Observe the O/D OFF indicator during the Self Test. Did the O/D OFF indicator illuminate for approximately 4 seconds and then turn off? If no, replace the instrument cluster. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1 under VERIFICATION TESTS. If yes, diagnose and repair O/D OFF indicator. See appropriate DIAGNOSIS article in TRANSMISSIONS. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1 under VERIFICATION TESTS.
